One view of the record
Medications, lab results, conditions, allergies, immunizations and recent visits from your connected health system, together, instead of spread across portal tabs.
Synodha › For caregivers
A discharge summary, a medication list, a page of lab values. Written accurately, for a clinician, and then given to the family member who has to help afterwards. Most of what makes that hard is not medical, it is the language. Sahara is a free, read-only view of an authorized MyChart-connected record, with plain-language MedlinePlus education in English and Spanish.
Free. Information only, never medical advice.
What it does
Sahara shows medications, lab results, conditions, allergies, immunizations and recent visits from your connected health system in one view, with supported items linked to general material from MedlinePlus in English and Spanish.
Medications, lab results, conditions, allergies, immunizations and recent visits from your connected health system, together, instead of spread across portal tabs.
Supported medications, tests and conditions are linked to general material from MedlinePlus, a service of the US National Library of Medicine, in English and Spanish.
Knowing what a term means makes the next appointment more useful. The goal is to help you ask, not to answer in your clinician's place.
The line
Sahara does not tell you what your results mean, whether a value is normal, whether a medication is right for you, or whether a symptom needs attention. Education is matched to the standardized code for a test or medication, never to your particular numbers, so two people with the same test see the same explanation.
That is a deliberate limit, not a missing feature. How we source and bound this is written down in the editorial policy.
For an emergency or urgent symptom, call your local emergency number.
Getting access
You connect using your own patient portal sign-in. To view a parent's or partner's record you need the proxy access their health system grants, which is a request you make to the provider. Our guide on caregiver access to a loved one's record walks through it.
Access is read-only and you can disconnect at any time. What is held and for how long is in the privacy overview.
